I have followed the blog of an amazing woman named Linny over at A Place Called Simplicity and she has asked for folks who are in the process of an adoption to share what needs they are seeking the Lord to meet in a big way. On Wednesday, September 8, her wonderful bloggy community is committing to pray and fast for the orphan, and those who struggle to bring children into families. Won't you join us???
Right now, as most know, we are in the process of bringing our 6 year old son home from China. We are in the very final stages and hope to travel by the end of October, and we are really waiting on the Lord for some big needs. Financial, and some crazy timing work.

Well those niggly things, have now turned into big things. Alan works for a major pharmaceutical company in quality control - in a nutshell they test medications to make sure they are safe and released on time. About 7 weeks ago the company announced that all of the manufacturing and qc testing will be moved to Europe. Soon. So on top of working and a 3 hour daily commute, he has been job hunting. Kicker is that the kind of work that he does, really doesn't happen in our area without an insane daily commute. So on top of a layoff, we, in all probability will be looking at a major move. If he finds a job.
We recently started a fundraiser. And although it's amazing - it has been one of the hardest things for me. To ask for help. From people. But one of the areas that Satan has hit us hardest is financial. We were diligently saving and pinching those pennies until they screamed, but the plans to rob and destroy came full force. And now we are short.
But, thankfully, we know that in the end, when everything falls into place, we will look back and say "ONLY GOD could have done that!!" We believe that God's plan will triumph over the plans of evil. We believe that God has an amazing plan for our child (all of our children, actually) or the opposition would not be so strong.
We are believing on Him to bring us through trials, and to provide what we need, when we need it - because bringing our son home is part of His plan, and He will be faithful to complete it.
So please stand with us on September 8 - lock arms with us in the spiritual realm, to bring all of our precious children home.

Praying and fasting for your family and the one who He is leading to you bring home.
Praying for you, dear friends! And I know that God is SO much bigger than all of these really big things. All of the pieces will fall into place. Because faith is being sure of what we hope for and certain of what we cannot see.
