Slow Day

We had the day to ourselves today, which was a good thing, because we are all pretty beat.  We slept in a little and did a little shopping in the area next to the hotel. We were looking at some things in this lady's shop and she sat us all down and made us tea! We did end up buying a little tea, but being able to taste it first was a nice touch...

This afternoon we went to a local museum and saw the tomb of an ancient Chinese king.  The actual burial site is right there and they built the museum around it.  We got to tour the tomb and check out all of the stuff (and people, ewww) that were buried with him.

Thanksgiving.  China style. :)

Andrew is doing surprisingly well, considering the circumstances.  He has taken very well to all of us, and he is really a dear little guy.  He calls us "Mommy" and "Daddy" very easily and is quite the creature of habit.  We had a great conversation with our guide, Amy about how differently the Chinese raise their children as opposed to how Americans do things.  It certainly explains a lot. I am really looking forward to when Xue Lin understands more English and things will be less confusing for all of us!
