Matt turned 15 yesterday!! Yowza. And as he informed me - one year until he can drive. Oh. My. His day was pretty lazy - sleeping in, lounging around and saving up for his family dinner out (think big chain restaurant with a state name in it that specializes in steak! Yeee Ha!!) The poor kid panicked every time the staff started clapping and wheeling the "birthday saddle" in our general direction - must have happened 5 times during dinner & every time he looked at me (I guess I would be the trouble maker parent??) with the "please tell me you didn't" face. Of course I just gave him the "maybe I did, & maybe I didn't" smile (ok, maybe I am the trouble making parent) until the saddle was safely far from our table. :)
Then it was home for candles, homemade ice cream cake, and gifts. He had a really great day.

What a delightful kid Matt is! They just don't make many teenage boys that are so pleasant these days...
